Are you a person with disability or a supporter living on Queensland’s Fraser Coast? Have you experienced or witnessed violence, abuse, neglect or exploitation?
You can find out about the Disability Royal Commission and the free supports available at a series of information sessions on 13 August.
Hosted by Your Story Disability Legal Support (Your Story) and Lotus Support Services, the sessions are free to attend and are being held in the following locations:
- Hervey Bay – Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre, Boardroom, 22 Charles St, Pialba, on Saturday 13 August from 9—11am
- Maryborough – Maryborough City Hall, Committee Room, 388 Kent St, Maryborough, on Saturday 13 August from 1:30—3:30pm
Your Story is a free national service that gives independent legal advice and support to anyone considering sharing their story with the Disability Royal Commission.
Lotus Support Services is a Queensland-wide service that provides free, confidential counselling and support to people engaging with or affected by the Disability Royal Commission.
Everyone is welcome at the information sessions. Light refreshments will be provided, and disability access will be available.
