Counselling
Free and independent counselling is available for people who are affected by sharing their story with the Disability Royal Commission.
The national counselling service is called Blue Knot. You can access free counselling over the phone and get referrals to free, local counselling services. Call 1800 421 468 or (02) 6146 1468.
Advocacy
Free and independent advocacy services are available to help you prepare your submission for the Disability Royal Commission.
Your Story Disability Legal Support can provide you with legal support and advice to prepare your submission. We can also connect you with disability advocates or you can find them using the map on the Department of Social Service website

Legal support to appear before the Royal Commission
If you are invited to appear as a witness at a public hearing during the Disability Royal Commission, you can get a lawyer to help you through the Legal Financial Assistance Scheme.

If you are Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander person we can connect you with an Aboriginal legal service.
